When I was building our new Harmann Studios location in De Pere, the furthest from my mind was the landscaping.  I called Donnie up and he said that he would take care of it.  He came up with some great suggestions and showed his great knowledge in the art of landscaping throughout our building process.  The design turned out better than expected, it was completed as promised and on time, and best of all, great price.

We never want to move now! Our Donnie Mac's landscape design makes us feel like we were featured on HGTV. It's unique, beautiful, fits our needs, and all the work that they put into the ground preparation and install was incredible - it is built to last and we love it.

 We've gotten a lot of OMGs! Each person who has come over has tried to pick up a stone off the bench because it looks so natural. And, everyone loves the sound of the waterfall - it takes some calculated creativity to capture that effect - listening to it truly adds calm and peace to your day.

 We have a friend who tackled his backyard as a DIY and when it was all added up and compared, we know we saved time, maintenance trouble and money long term by hiring Donnie Mac's - with a warranty to stand behind it! And, of course we got a one-of-a-kind design to fit our layout from Mike that you just can't do yourself.  Mike nailed the design we were looking for the first go-round. In addition, Don and Mike were sensitive to our budget as well and helped us rework parts of the plan to fit our budget which we appreciate.

 And, you can trust working with Donnie Mac's team. It was all Donnie Mac trucks, equipment, and staff at our house to do the work. They handled every part of the project without subcontracting so we knew all the people doing the work. In addition, we felt very comfortable with the guys doing the work at our house with the kids and animals about. They were cordial and professional. Chad, Joe, Mike, JP, Jeff and all the team were awesome and we enjoyed talking to them and even having lunch with them one day. How Chad got those crazy angles to fit together perfectly is truly amazing. Everyone on their team has his own specialty in a certain aspect of design, landscape, hardscape, and all the project elements.

 A show of their commitment to exceptional customer service was proven on the first day they arrived. I jokingly said to Joe something about Don probably telling them this was a project with the crazy tree hugger. Joe said Don did tell them to be careful working around the trees so as not to damage any of them.  We had needed to take down some trees for our project and in very early conversations, we casually told Don how we enjoyed the trees, but understood some more might need to come down, no big deal. So, it was very thoughtful that he made this a point to convey to the landscaping team because of something we simply made mention. They went above and beyond our expectations in many ways.    

 Finally, and not to forget to make note, they must keep stellar radar on the weather and conditions, because with all the rain and cold, when we thought they would not start for weeks, they started two weeks earlier than discussed. And, they were right on with the conditions for getting the job done. So, our project finished earlier than expected so we could enjoy it that much longer this season. 

 They have tons of pictures and ideas - the design expertise is easy to see. You want it, they can do it! What you have to factor in and have to get word of mouth is the people, quality of the work and the foundation that lies beneath as that is what truly separates who you should choose in our mind. That's Donnie Mac's! Donnie Mac's was referred to us and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for landscape services. 

 What is funny is Donnie Mac's did not approach us for a testimonial. We are proactively writing this because we wanted to be sure to give them one - they earned it!

My wife and I just wanted to thank you, your designer, and on-site team that completed our backyard patio, drainage issue, excavating, and playground area. Just a short note of "Thanks" for the "Great Work" that your company provided for our new home in Suamico in the summer of 2010.  Your creative design of our large stone deck/patio has added a dimension to our home that was totally unexpected when we began construction.  As we bring people to our home, that area more than anything else, is the thing that people enjoy.

While it could be argued that other companies offer design services, the execution of your plan was a thing of beauty.  Given the restricted area that you had to work with, your staff, in particular Chad & Joe did a fantastic job of keeping the site neat and organized to minimize the inconvenience to the neighbors. 

Because of the nature and scope of this project, I was very concerned about the construction methods.  I had researched in advance of our contract, the installation specifications for the products that were selected for our job.  As your men will tell you, I was on site every day and I witnessed first hand how your installation and execution exceeded the industry standards.  When spending the kind of money for the projects that people do, it is reassuring to know that the "Quality of Installation" will endure, just like the materials.
